REROUTED is our digital discussion group for international plays and performances in partnership with the Gate Theatre. REROUTED is a free series of webinars for anyone interested in theatre, performance and art. Each session features a different playtext, film or performance to be selected and discussed by brilliant guest practitioners.

Through the discussions, we aim to expand our lens on global art and create a more diverse, exciting and inclusive industry by considering non-British modes of performance. We converse with artists from all over the world about the art that inspired them and consider how we can decolonise British theatre.

Our first session was in April 2021 with actor, director and Artistic Director of the Market Theatre in Johannesburg, JAMES NGCOBO.

Our second session was on November 30th at 7pm GMT. The second instalment of REROUTED was a conversation with Maya Zbib. We discussed form in theatre, Tarkovsky, and Maya's practice as a director, writer, performer and founding member of Zoukak Theatre.

 

The sessions have closed captioning and BSL interpreting.
