Following a successful workshop on Decolonising the British Canon for the Young Vic Genesis Network, we are thrilled to have started a work in progress, open source, collaboratively authored reader on decolonising theatre.

At a time when theatre is in flux and we have the opportunity to make big changes to the theatre industry, it is important to dismantle the hegemony of the British theatrical canon and expand it to include a multiplicity of identities, stories, practices and voices- all of which engage with and interrogate Britain's colonial past.
