GLOBAL ORIGINS
a network and platform for international, multicultural and diasporic artists
Global Origins is a network and platform for international, multicultural and diasporic artists, founded by Aneesha Srinivasan and Emma Jude Harris.

We specialise in leading workshops, facilitating conversations and producing events aimed at decolonising British theatre, creating space for marginalised voices and offering a global lens on theatre and performance.

We have previously produced events including ARE WE THERE YET? and ORIGIN STORIES. We guest-lecture and teach workshops at drama schools and venues including the Young Vic Theatre, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and Mountview Academy of the Arts. We specialise in writing with identity, ethical representation, and decolonising the canon and are working to decolonise the British conservatoire curriculum.

We currently facilitate REROUTED: a digital discussion group for international plays and performances with the Gate Theatre. Our first session was in April 2021 with James Ngcobo, artistic director of the Market Theatre in Johannesburg. Our next session will be November 30th 2021 with Maya Zbib of Zoukak Theatre.
